Specialty Camps 2010ACC Leisure Services offers a variety of speciality camps each summer.
ACC Leisure Services Summer Camp Registration Kick-Off 2010
Summer camp registration begins for Athens-Clarke County residents, Saturday, April 10, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Classic Center. Free parking is available in the Classic Center Parking Deck.
Parents are reminded to bring the following documents to registration:
Child's birth certificate
ACC Leisure Services Socholarship Card (if applicable)
Utility Bill (proof of residency)
Photo ID
The following week, registration continues at individual facilities during regular hours of operation.
Non-ACC residents may register beginning Wednesday, April 14 during regular hours of operation.
Parent Reminder: Parents wishing to apply for an ACC Leisure Services Scholarship should do so before the day of camp registration. Click here for scholarship information
Campers will learn theatre basics from blocking, theatre terminology, articulation, projection, memorizing lines, handling props, being fitted for costumes and then will perform a show at the end of the two weeks of rehearsals.

Dance CampsThe East Athens Educational Dance Center offers a dozen summer camps featuring a variety of dance styles.

Zoo Camp 2010 at Bear Hollow (706) 613-3616Explore the world of animals while enjoying a traditional-style camp in a unique setting - the zoo! Fun-filled activities include feeding the exhibit animals, up-close animal encounters, field trips and guest speakers, swimming, hiking, tracking and more.
Ages: 7-13
Date: June 7-11, 14-18, 21-25, and June 28-July 2 for ages 7-9; July 6-9, 12-16, 19-23, and 26-30 for ages 10-13 (no camp on July 4)
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Fee: $81 per child per week for ACC resident; $122 Non-ACC resident
