Resource Libraries / Rooms Resource Libraries at Lay Park and East Athens Community Centers Visit today! These resource libraries are "full service" libraries at the community centers. Through a partnership with the Athens-Clarke County Library, these facilities are free an open to the public. Hours of Operation The Lay Park Resource Library is open Monday-Friday, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. The East Athens Community Center Resource Library is open Monday-Thursday, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. For more information, please call the Lay Park Resource Library at (706)613-3657 or (706) 613-3596. Programs available include age appropriate games, Internet access, and MS Office. Resource Libraries The East Athens Community Center had 2,596 items including books, books on tape, and magazines. Lay Park has 2,678 items available at its resource library. Lyndon House Resource Room Lyndon House Arts Center also has a Library Resource Room funded through SPLOST IV and in partnership with the Athens Clarke County Library. The Library Resource Room provides and an arts related research collection of publications, includng art history and artist biographies, business and law for artists, art education curriculum and methods, and studio art techniques. Resources are available during operating hours on a reference room basis. Book donations are welcome. Materials are not available for checkout. Call (706) 613-3623 for more information. Sandy Creek Nature Center Resource Room The Resource Room at the ENSAT Building at Sandy Creek Nature Center was funded through SPLOST IV and available through a partnership with the Athens-Clarke County Library. The collection features science based materials and are available on a reference room basis during regular hours of operation. Material are not available for check out.
