Harvest Festival
This year marks our 36th Anniversary of Harvest Festival! This annual celebration of old time crafts and rural life gives participants of all ages a way to learn about some of Georgia’s history first hand. There will be over fifty live demonstrations of quilting, woodworking, spinning, weaving, soap making, bee keeping, etc. as well as tours of the Ware Lyndon House. Enjoy old time music and dancing. While the event is appropriate for elementary school children and adults, everyone is welcome. The event, co sponsored by the Athens Community Council on Aging and the Lyndon House Arts Center, is truly a very fine intergenerational, educational tradition from the artists, crafts people, and volunteers of our community. Please call Keisha Ryals (706) 549-4850 to pre-register groups of 10 or more. Harvest Festival will take place indoors in case of rain.
