Team Athens Pays It Forward
Not only are our girls super talented gymnasts, but they are also very caring and giving young ladies!

Each year, they select a community service project were by they give back to those within the community in which they live.

*December 2005, Team Athens wrote to Build-a-bear Workshop and asked them to donate bears. Build-a-bear responsed by donating two dozen bears which the girls distributed to the pediatric patients at both Athens Regional Medical and St. Mary's Hospital just before Christmas.

*December 2006, Team Athens visted Athens Heritage Nursing Home and performed a dance routine for the residents. They also played bingo and gave each resident a gift.

*December 2007, Team Athens chose to forgo their own gift exchange and decided to adopt a family. The children in the family ranged in age from 10 months to 7 years. Team Athens purchased gifts and food for the adopted family.

*December 2008, Team Athens collects canned goods for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.

*Fall 2009, Optioanl team member Caroline, a.k.a Sparkie, organizes Operation Helping Hands and rallies her teammates and the entire ACGA program to collect and donate gently loved clothes and household items for the Salvation Army's Thrift House. The Thrift House was damaged by fire earlier in the year and lost all of their items. Sparkie visited the store and wanted to make a difference. Great Job!!

Way to go Team Athens!!!
