Lyndon House Arts Center has seven well-equipped studio classrooms and a children's wing for the community to engage in arts education at any level. Our classes are small to insure quality time between instructors and students. Our teachers are among the finest working artists in the community.

Classes for Children and Teens
Art Time for 4-6 Year Olds With books as inspiration, we will explore art techniques, creativity, color and textures, gaining artistic skills to be used for a lifetime. Be prepared to get messy and have fun!

Art Time for 6-8 Year OldsStudents will learn about line, shape, color, drawing, painting, and exploring art techniques. We will combine imagination, the basics of art and a little artist inspiration to create beautiful art!

Clay for 9–12 Year OldsHave fun with clay and learn the basics of wheel throwing and hand building, as you create different types of interesting and shapes and animals. All supplies will be provided.

Tot Time ArtLittle ones will explore paint, paper, clay, and other materials as they find their artist within. Instruction will combine book themes, music, creativity, self-expression, and fun.

Animals Around the World Drawing and Painting for Homeschool Students Students will learn how to draw animals from the desert to the sea, from Antarctica to New Zealand. Using watercolor washes and pencils, students will create a painting (or two).

Young ArtistDraw, paint, and make sculpture and prints with a variety of art materials. You’ll create something wonderful and new as you use your imagination and build new skills.

Drawing and Painting for 6-8 Year OldsStudents will learn how to draw all sorts of animals using a variety of lines and shapes. After practicing various watercolor techniques, students will create fun watercolor paintings of animals.

Teens on CanvasA great beginning and intermediate class for teens! Students learn about painting on canvas paper, and canvas board using acrylics. You pick your themes, non-stress environment. Come join the fun.

Teen Cartoon Illustrator's ClubThis informal gathering of teens, who like to draw Anime and cartoons of all kinds, usually are a discussion of recent drawings and characters led by cartoonist artist Robert Brown.
Fall Meeting Dates: Thursdays, September 9 and 23;October 7 and 21; and November 4 & 18

Investigating Art TogetherSide by side and together parent and child will investigate all kinds of ways to make art. We’ll do some painting and drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and fiber art.
